Natural Makeup Look: What Actually Works 2025

Last week I tried Natural Makeup Look… and omg, it was a JOURNEY.

I spent like, $150 at Sephora trying to nail it, ngl.

Prep Is Key

First, moisturizer is obvi important. I used the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask ($48) because my skin was drier than the Sahara.

It kinda helped, tbh.

Then I tried this Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer ($36). Everyone raves about it.

It felt kinda sticky, not gonna lie. Did it make a diff? Jury’s still out.

Foundation Fails

I wanted something super light so I grabbed the Kosas Tinted Face Oil ($42).

Big mistake. The Unforgettable Scoop: Your Ultimate Guide to Ce It separated like crazy on my face. Literally looked like I had orange polka dots.

I totally messed this up. Should’ve gone with something else.

Next, I tried the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer ($47 at Sephora). Much better.

It gave me a little bit of coverage without feeling heavy. I’d recommend it.

Concealer Conundrum

I only needed concealer under my eyes. Dark circles are my enemy.

I used the Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer ($22).

It’s pretty good, actually. Blended well and didn’t crease too much.

Cheek Chic

For blush, I wanted something dewy. I went with the Merit Flush Balm ($28).

It’s a cream blush and super easy to apply with my fingers. I got the shade “Terracotta”.

Lowkey obsessed with this. Makes me look alive.

I also tried the Fenty Beauty Match Stix Matte Contour Skinstick ($30) for a subtle contour.

It was okay. A little hard to blend, but buildable.

Finishing Touches

I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz ($23) to fill in my brows. Standard procedure.

Also, Lancôme Cils Booster XL Vitamin-Infused Mascara Primer ($32) before the mascara. I SWEAR it makes a difference.

Then, a light coat of Benefit They’re Real! Lengthening Mascara ($27). Ultimate November 2025 Makeup Trends: Your Guide t Keeps it natural.

For lips, just some Burt’s Bees chapstick ($4). Can’t go wrong.

Basically, the whole point is to look like you’re not wearing makeup. Which is kinda hard lol.

Oh and btw, Vogue has some other takes.

I tried the “glass skin” thing. So hard.

It involves like, ten different serums. My face felt so sticky afterwards.

I saw this tutorial on YouTube that recommended using a damp sponge for foundation application. Changed my life.

One time, I tried using bronzer as eyeshadow. Don’t do it. I looked like I had dirt on my eyelids.

So yeah, that’s my Natural Makeup Look journey. Still perfecting it, but getting there.
