Union Minister Amit Shah’s elder sister passes away in Mumbai

Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s elder sister, Rajuben, passed away on Monday at a Mumbai hospital, where she had been recovering from a lung transplant procedure.

In response to this, Shah had to cancel two public events in Gujarat, including the launch of projects at Banas Dairy in Deodar and an address at Rashtriya Raksha University in Gandhinagar.

A BJP leader confirmed that all of Shah’s public engagements were called off following the demise of his sister. Ajay Patel, Chairman of Gujarat State Cooperative Bank Limited, shared that Shah’s absence at the Banaskantha event was due to the loss of his elder sister.
