Real talk about Capsule Wardrobe Guide
last week I tried Capsule Wardrobe Guide…omg, it was a journey.
I totally messed this up at first tbh.
So, the idea is like, minimalist closet, right? Clothes that all go together.
I started with a color palette: black, white, gray, and denim. Basic.
I bought a white tee from Everlane for $28. It’s actually really soft.
Also got black skinny jeans from Madewell, $128. Spendy, I know.
A black blazer was key. Mine’s from Zara, like $70 maybe?
Comfy sneakers were a must, like Adidas Stan Smiths ($80). Super versatile.
A simple black dress is everything. Mine’s from Aritzia, $148.
I bought too many graphic tees. Like, 5. I don’t even wear them that much.
And then I got a bright pink sweater. What was I even thinking?
Basically, I didn’t stick to my color palette at all.
Also, I forgot about accessories. Big mistake.
Like, I had zero jewelry that matched my outfits.
Essential November 2025 Beauty Skincare Routines Y I needed neutral bags, shoes, scarves.
Okay, so stick to neutral colors. Black, white, gray, navy, camel.
Then add a pop of color, but only ONE. Like, a red scarf or a blue bag.
Also, consider your skin tone. Not all colors look good on everyone.
I lowkey wanna try adding olive green to my palette next time.
I feel like it could work with everything I already have.
White button-down shirt. Vogue says it’s a must-have. I agree.
A good quality trench coat. Timeless.
Black ankle boots. Can dress them up or down.
A cashmere sweater. Investment piece for sure.
Denim jacket. Always in style.
Simple gold jewelry. Adds a touch of elegance.
A versatile crossbody bag. Practical and stylish.
Don’t forget a tailored pair of trousers. Perfect for work or going out.
And of course, a little black dress. Duh.
Planning is essential. Don’t just buy random stuff.
Consider your lifestyle. What do you actually wear?
Quality over quantity. Invest in pieces that will last.
Don’t be afraid to experiment. But stick to your palette.
Also, accessories are important. They can make or break an outfit.
I spent like $500+ on clothes I don’t wear. Ugh, waste.
Radiant: Your Ultimate Guide to Makeup Tutorials a I probably should’ve started with a smaller capsule.
Like, just 10 pieces to start, then add more as needed.
Ngl, it’s still a work in progress. But I’m getting there.
I literally need to sell half my closet on Depop lol.
Next time I’m going to plan outfits before buying ANYTHING.
I saw a great tutorial on YouTube, I’ll send you the link.
Ultimate November 2025 Makeup Trends: Your Guide t Also, Rent the Runway could be a good way to test out new styles before committing.
I’m aiming for a closet that’s functional, stylish, and sustainable.
If you plan it right, yes. But def takes effort.
Depends on the pieces. Can be like $500-$1000.
Potentially. Saves $ long run if you stick to it.
Everywhere lol. Madewell, Aritzia, Zara, Everlane, Adidas
